About TKO Graphix

As a 14-year-old boy, TKO President Tom "Tommy" Taulman II rode a bicycle to a part-time job at Indiana Trailer Services. A jack-of-all-trades, Tommy mowed the lawn and performed various odd jobs for the small company. His cousin, Kent Smith, joined him at I.T.S. a few years later and the two began repairing and hand-painting trailers.

In 1985, their employer died unexpectedly. Nineteen-year-old Tommy and 20-year-old Kent, bold beyond their years, approached six of I.T.S.' largest customers and asked them to continue business with them. Trusting the young men's work ethics, all agreed. Pooling their resources, and with investment from Tommy's parents, TKO Enterprises was born.

Determination and hard work was tempered with humor from the beginning. Tommy and Kent are the T and the K of TKO Graphix. The O represents the corporation's third partner, Tom Taulman Sr., also known as "the Old Man."

The first year, Tommy and Kent worked diligently to build TKO Graphix into a viable fleet identification graphics business. Their focus then, as now, was on customer service and delivering quality products. With the addition of one part-time employee, TKO ended its first year with nearly 33 percent growth. And they did it again the next year, and the next, and... By the year 2000, when the turbulent economy say the demise of many competitors, TKO Graphix expanded its Point of Purchase offerings. When the economy improved, TKO was well-positioned to continue its rapid growth in both fleet and POP graphics industries.

Building upon an outstanding reputation for quality products and customer service, TKO Graphix has become one of the industry's largest and most respected business imaging corporations.

Unique in the industry, TKO offers customers a full range of graphics services - including graphic design, manufacturing, installation and graphics removal. In 2000, TKO was named a 3M Scotchprint® Graphics Authorized Manufacturer. In 2001, its installers passed rigorous screening to become members of the United Application Standards Group and 3M Certified Installers. In 2002, TKO joined with Endagraph, Inc. to form Emagen (pronounced Imagine) to further benefit customers. And in 2004, TKO moved into its custom designed 50,000 square foot facility in Plainfield, Indiana.

With the many changes over the years, there remains a constant: Each TKO Graphix client receives personalized service, ensuring the company's goal of delivering quality products and customer service.
